Unanswered maintenance emergencies now page again, then move on

When an emergency maintenance request is dispatched and nobody accepts or declines it, QuickCasa now pages that person again and then hands the request to the next person in line. If nobody is left, your whole team is alerted.

An emergency request that nobody answers no longer sits and waits. QuickCasa now follows up on its own until someone takes it.

What happens

When an emergency is dispatched and the person neither accepts nor declines, QuickCasa pages them again over the same channels, whether that is a call, a text or an email, and says the request is still waiting on them. After the set number of pages, the request moves to the next person your routing rules pick, skipping anyone already tried. If nobody is left, everyone at your company gets a high-priority notification to call someone directly.

Every page and every hand-off is written to the request's history, and the dispatch history shows No answer, moved on for anyone who was skipped.

Where to change it

Open Maintenance, choose Settings, and find Unanswered emergencies under General. You can set:

  • Minutes between pages, from 5 to 60.
  • Pages before moving on, from 1 to 6.

Good to know

It is on by default: a page every 10 minutes, 3 pages in all, then on to the next person. It only applies to emergency requests that are still waiting and still assigned to the person being paged, so anything accepted, declined or reassigned stops the follow-up.
