Present and annotate any page in the portal

Presenting tools are now built into the portal. Turn on a pointer, draw on the page you are looking at, and save the marked-up result as an image. It works on any page, so you can walk someone through a real lead or a real listing instead of a screenshot of one.

Where to find it

There is a new button in the top bar, between the Admin Dashboard link and the notification bell. Press Alt + P to open the same panel from the keyboard, and Esc to turn everything off again.

The pointer

Two styles. Laser puts a bright dot under your cursor. Spotlight dims the rest of the page and lights the area around it, which is the one to reach for when a screen is dense and you need eyes in one place. Hold Ctrl or Cmd and the pointer grows and pulses, so you can emphasize a point without moving the mouse.

The whiteboard

Draw straight onto the page with a pen, a highlighter, text or an eraser. There are rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows, and you can select a shape afterwards to move or resize it. Colour and thickness are yours to set, and Ctrl or Cmd plus Z undoes the last mark.

You can drop images in as well, from an upload, your media library, a Giphy search, or straight off the clipboard.

Marks are anchored to the content rather than the screen, so they stay where you put them when the page scrolls.

Saving what you drew

Save page captures the page with your markup flattened onto it and downloads it as an image. Handy for sending someone the annotated version after a call.

Worth knowing

Your preferences, meaning pointer style, colour and brush size, are remembered between sessions. The tools themselves are not. Every reload starts you in a clean portal, on purpose, so you never join a call with last week's drawing still on the screen. Turning it on is always a deliberate act.
