Nudge applicants who stop part way through an application
Applications can now email applicants who start and then go quiet, with a link straight back to where they stopped. You choose how long to wait and how many reminders anyone gets, and reminders stop the moment they submit.
An application someone started and never finished is a lead you already had. Applications can now remind those applicants for you.
How to turn it on
Open an application in Flow Forms and go to Submission Options. Turn on Remind Applicants Who Stall, then choose:
- When they go quiet: how many days without progress before the first reminder, and between reminders, from 1 to 14.
- How many: the most reminders any one applicant gets, from 1 to 5.
The setting only appears on application forms, because only an application knows who is filling it in.
What the applicant gets
An email with your company's name that says how far they got and which screen they stopped on, tells them nothing they entered was lost, and links straight back to the application. They sign in with the same QuickPass account and land where they left off.
How it behaves
- The wait restarts whenever they make progress, so someone who comes back and stops again gets the full wait before the next reminder. The limit still counts every reminder ever sent about that application.
- Submitting stops reminders straight away.
- Reminders go out once a day in the morning, Eastern time.
- Only applications touched in the last 30 days are reminded, so switching it on will not email people who stopped months ago.
- Anyone linked to a lead marked Do Not Contact is never reminded.
On the results page, a reminded draft says so next to its progress, so your team can see the nudges went out before following up themselves. Reminders are off for new forms until you turn them on.
