Log resident packages and hand them over with a pickup code

The new Packages page lets your front desk log a delivery in a few seconds and tell the resident straight away, with a four-digit pickup code. Packages that sit too long are followed up for you, first with the resident and then with your team.

Your front desk can now track every parcel that arrives for a resident, from the moment it is logged to the moment it is picked up. Each package gets a four-digit pickup code, and the resident hears about it as soon as it is logged.

Where to find it

Go to Residents and choose Packages. The page has three parts: Log a package, the list of Packages, and Package settings.

Logging a package

Type the resident's name or unit and pick them, then choose the carrier and size and say where you put it. Add a tracking number or a note if it helps, and tick Perishable for food or flowers. The carrier, size and location stay filled in for the next one, so a stack from the same delivery goes quickly.

The resident is told by email, and by text if you switch texts on, with where the package is and its pickup code. If nothing could reach them, the package shows Not reached, and Try again sends the notice once their contact details are fixed.

Handing it over

Find the package under Waiting by name, unit, tracking number or pickup code, and choose Hand over. The window shows the code to check against the one the resident gives you, and you can record someone else collecting it for them. Return covers parcels sent back to the carrier or logged by mistake, and Undo puts a closed package back on the waiting list.

Follow-ups

  • Residents are reminded 3 and 7 days after a package arrives. Several waiting packages go out as one reminder.
  • Your team gets one alert after 10 days listing everything still waiting.
  • Both schedules can be changed or set to Never in Package settings, where you can also add pickup instructions such as your desk hours.

Good to know

Text notices are off until you switch them on. Staff limited to some buildings only see packages for those buildings. The Picked up and Returned lists show the latest 200 packages each, and everything still waiting is always shown.
