Invoice each building to its own corporation
If you own buildings through separate corporations, you can now add a billing entity for each one and assign buildings to it. Each entity gets its own invoice for its buildings' charges, on the same billing date as your main account.
Many property managers own each building through its own corporation and need that building's charges invoiced to it. Billing entities do exactly that.
Setting it up
- Go to the Billing page and choose Add Billing Entity under Billing Entities. Enter the legal name and address, and optionally a GST/HST number and billing email.
- Open each building and choose its Billing Entity. Buildings start on Main account, and the field only appears once you have at least one entity.
What goes on each invoice
Each entity gets its own invoice on the same billing date as your main account, with its legal name, address and GST/HST number on it.
- Moves to the entity: charges that trace to one of its buildings. That covers door charges for the building's units, SMS notification numbers on that building's lead flows, and usage from conversations on those flows.
- Stays on the main invoice: your plan, team seats, websites, Casas, phone numbers, and any usage not tied to a single building.
Your plan's included doors are used against the main account first, then against entities. Across all invoices you pay exactly what you would on a single invoice.
Paying
By default each entity is charged to your main card. To charge one to a different card, select Card on its row and choose Use a Different Card. Use Main Account Card switches it back.
Good to know
- Archiving an entity sends a final invoice for its charges up to that day and moves its buildings back to the main account.
- Billing entities need an existing billing account. If yours has not been set up yet, contact support first.
