Forms now skip a repeat of the exact same answers
Custom forms and flow forms now keep the first submission and skip a repeat of the exact same answers from the same device, so one person pressing Submit again and again no longer fills your inbox. It is on by default at 1 hour, and you can change it on each form.
When someone sends the same form with the same answers over and over, you no longer get a stack of identical submissions. Custom forms and flow forms now keep the first one and skip the repeats.
Where to find it
Open a form and look for Duplicate Submission Cooldown. On a custom form it is under Submission Settings. On a flow form it is under Submission Options. Choose Off, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week.
It is on by default at 1 hour, including on the forms you already have. Choose Off if you want every submission to come through.
What happens to a repeat
If the same device sends the exact same answers again inside the window, nothing new is saved. No second notification email or text goes out, and no webhook, data integration or lead conversation fires twice. On a flow form, the repeat's half-finished draft is cleared as well, so it does not show up as an abandoned response.
The visitor stays on the form with their answers still filled in. A note beside the submit button tells them when they sent those answers, when they can send the same answers again, and that changing any answer sends an update straight away. Times are shown in their own time zone.
Good to know
- Changing any answer always goes through. Differences in spacing, capital letters or the order of multi-select picks do not count as a change.
- The window counts from the last submission that was accepted, so repeating a duplicate never stretches it out.
- A device means a browser. A different browser, a private window or cleared site data counts as a new device, and two people on two devices never block each other.
- It covers the hosted form on forms.quickcasa.ai, whether it is opened by link or embedded on your site. It does not apply to the snippet that captures your own website form, or to forms inside a booking page.
- Applications do not show the setting, because they already take one submission per renter.
