Every CMS listing on your website now has an RSS feed
A blog, a news section or any other CMS-backed listing on a site built with QuickCasa now publishes an RSS feed at /{listing-slug}/feed.xml. It carries the latest 20 published items, is advertised in the head of every page, and is generated at publish time the same way the sitemap is.
Sites built with the QuickCasa Website Builder now publish an RSS 2.0 feed for every CMS-backed listing. A blog at /blog gets a feed at /blog/feed.xml, a news section at /news gets /news/feed.xml, and so on. Ours is at quickcasa.ai/whats-new/feed.xml.
A feed lets readers follow a blog or news section without checking back, and gives feed readers and aggregators a reliable way to pick up each new post the moment it is published.
What is in it
The feed contains the latest 20 published items with their title, canonical link, excerpt, date, author and featured image when those fields exist. Drafts never appear.
How readers find it
Every page on the site advertises the feed with a rel="alternate" tag in its head, so a feed reader can discover it from any page without anyone pasting a URL. Anything that follows RSS, from a feed reader to a newsletter tool, can subscribe.
When it updates
The feed is a static file generated at publish time, the same way sitemap.xml is. A new post appears in the feed on the next publish, which is also when its detail page goes live. There is nothing to switch on: publish the site and the feeds are there.
